Bayer Model SOL-1 – Expansion & Modernization | MTC Modellbau®
More than three years ago, MTC Modellbau® delivered a high-quality architectural and industrial model for Bayer in Leverkusen — the impressive construction project “SOL-1”. Now, the model has returned to our workshop: we picked it up a few days ago to extensively expand, upgrade, and further refine it both technically and visually.
This long-term collaboration makes us particularly proud, as it shows:

🔄 Expansion & Modernization of the Bayer Model
The existing model is now being enlarged, adapted, and rebuilt in several areas.
This includes, among other things:
- Adding additional building and technical areas
- Expanding infrastructure, pathways, roads, and logistics zones
- Upgrading the presentation base
- Enhanced details and optimized material effects
- Modernizing the model for long-term use within the company
