Biomethane Plant Scale Model | Energy Infrastructure Model 1:500 – MTC Modellbau®
For Eichenhof Energie, we realized a high-end architectural and industrial scale model at a scale of 1:500. The model visualizes the planned NETR biomethane plant in Bordesholm, Germany, and was designed to communicate complex industrial processes in a clear, elegant, and technically precise way.
The goal of the model was to make the project’s sustainable energy concept tangible while maintaining a clean, premium aesthetic suitable for presentations, approvals, and stakeholder communication.
Minimalist Design with Exceptional Detail
The entire model was finished in subtle white, deliberately chosen to emphasize structure, proportions, and technical clarity. This restrained color concept allows the viewer to fully focus on the plant layout and its functional elements.
Despite the minimalistic appearance, the model features an outstanding level of detail, precisely reproducing the individual components of the biomethane facility and its spatial organization.
A special highlight of the model is the realistic representation of ponds and water surfaces, which were crafted using high-quality epoxy resin. This technique creates depth, reflections, and a refined surface finish, enhancing the overall visual impact and realism of the site.
Making Sustainability Visible
The planned biomethane plant produces renewable energy from animal residues, including manure and organic waste from cattle, cows, horses, and poultry. At the same time, the facility contributes significantly to CO₂ reduction and supports the requirements of the Renewable Energy Directive (RED II), implemented into German law in 2021.
Our scale model translates this technically advanced and environmentally responsible concept into a clear and comprehensible visual language, making it ideal for investor presentations, public communication, and approval processes.
A Project with Nationwide Model Character
Designed and built to industrial standards, the plant sets new benchmarks in terms of emissions, efficiency, and regenerative energy supply. Due to its technical layout and energy concept, the project has a model character on a national level and achieves exceptionally high greenhouse gas reduction values.
The project is initiated by the Stoltenberg family, who have been active in agriculture in the Bordesholm region for nearly 300 years. With the foundation of Eichenhof Energie, the family is consistently focusing on circular economy principles and sustainable business practices in harmony with nature and the environment.
